The police are pairing with Mount Kisco Honda, in Bedford Hills, to help with people to ensure they're installing their car seats correctly.

Buckle Up for Life estimates that 75 percent of all child car seats in the U.S. are installed incorrectly. Car crashes are the number one killer of kids under 12, the organization notes, but many such injuries and deaths are avoidable with proper safety.

The safety event is from 3:30-6:30 p.m. Mount Kisco Honda is at 650 Bedford Rd., on Route 117, across from the McDonald's.
