BEDFORD HILLS, N.Y. – A 17-year-old from Bedford Hills has been charged with three misdemeanors after being accused of placing graffiti in several public areas, including the historic Sutton clock tower on Succabone Road, police said.

About 6:20 a.m. Thursday, Bedford police officers discovered graffiti in the form of a large poster on the outside wall of a Depot Plaza business.

Upon further investigation, police said they found similar graffiti at another Depot Plaza business.

Authorities then discovered graffiti at the clock tower and at Fox Lane High School.

Some of the graffiti included Arabic letters, according to police.

Authorities quickly apprehended the male teenager they believe is responsible for the crimes.

He was charged with three misdemeanor counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief, according to police.
