Shortly after 10 p.m. on Dec. 4, officers were dispatched to a Valhalla Place home when a man called the North Castle Police Department reporting that a woman - later identified as Victoria Dunn - had been assaulted at a neighboring house.
Police said that Dunn reported she had was fleeing from another man, Vincent Cunzio, prompting the intervention by officers. Dunn told officers at the scene that she did not suffer any injuries and did not require any medical attention at the time of the call. The incident is currently under investigation by detectives. No arrests have been made.
Other items on the North Castle Police Department blotter from Friday, Dec. 1 through Tuesday, Dec. 12 include:
- An employee at a Virginia Road business reported to police on Dec. 3 that she was attempting to lock up the building for the day, but there were customers standing outside and not allowing her to lock the door and set the alarm. Police responded to the business and were able to clear the scene without further incident.
- The following day, police were informed of a suspicious African American male who entered the store attempting to make change for a $100 bill. After telling the man that he had no change, the man proceeded to enter Rags and Riches asking the clerk in that store the same question. Police described the man as a light-skinned African American man who was skinny and tall, wearing beige pants, a beige jacket and hightop sneakers. Upon arrival at the scene, officers reported that the man had already left the premises.
- Later that night, shortly after 7:30 p.m., police were dispatched to a Main Street parking lot, where there were reports of a “suspicious female subject” who was talking to herself. Police said she was described as a white female in her late 50s with long blonde hair, missing front teeth and well dressed. The complainant proceeded to reportedly enter a blue Honda Pilot and driving south on Main Street. Police canvassed the area but were unable to track down the woman.
- On Dec. 5, police received a report of a Hispanic man who was soliciting in the area of Hillandale Avenue. Police said that he was described as a man in his late 20s wearing a dark parka and tan pants. Officers were able to track down the man on Kensico Knolls Place and advised the man that he was in violation of a town ordinance.
