Salvatore 'Sal' Aiello, 82, Longtime Katonah Resident

KATONAH, N.Y. -- Longtime Katonah resident Salvatore "Sal" Aiello died on Saturday, Jan. 9. He was 82.

He was born in the Bronx on Jan. 20, 1933 to Joseph and Josephine Aiello, and served in the Army in the 1950s in Alaska.

He was a structural engineer at Chas. H. Sells for 42 years. He was a lifelong Yankees fan, enjoyed all sports, and played softball and golf.

Aiello is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Malach), and children Lisa and Bruce.

Visiting hours will be from from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 13, at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, in Katonah. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Jan. 14, at St. Mary's Church, 117 Valley Road, also in Katonah. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 West Stevens Ave., in Hawthorne.
