BEDFORD, N.Y. - Peter Van Nuys, a 23 year resident of Bedford, died Dec. 13. He was 74.
Van Nuys was born June 19, 1939, in New York City; son of Francis Van Nuys and Anne Georgina Chute. He was a graduate of The Hill School in Pottstown, Pa., Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and Harvard Law School. He was an attorney on Park Avenue with the firm of Becker, Glynn, Muffly, Chassin and Hosinski LLP and was a member of The American Bar Association and The New York State Bar Association.
Van Nuys is survived by his wife, Helena Van Nuys; daughters, Alexandra Van Nuys of Yorktown Heights and Kristina Van Nuys (Ricky Rodriguez) of Austin, Texas; two grandsons; brother, Francis Van Nuys (Betty) of Fairfax, Va.; and a niece and nephew.
The Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22 at the Bedford Presbyterian Church. Following the service, the family will receive friends at the church Fellowship Hall.
