BEDFORD, N.Y. - James Lawrence Flynn of Bedford died Dec. 20. He was 81.
Flynn was born Sept. 21, 1933, in Ballinspittle, County Cork, Ireland. He was the owner of Kelly Opticians in White Plains for nearly 30 years, which he sold in 2002.
Flynn is survived by his wife Teresa; children, Sean (Lisa Tathum), Deirdre (Robert Shepardson) and Maureen (Scott Asiel); seven grandchildren; and sister, Margaret Flynn. He was predeceased by his brother, John.
Calling hours are Tuesday, Dec. 23 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Clark Associates Funeral Home in Katonah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Dec. 24 at St. Patrick's Church in Bedford. Interment will follow at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rosary Hill Home in Hawthorne or the American Lung Association of the Northeast.
