BEDFORD, N.Y. Jack Egan Reyna, 13, of Bedford Corners, died July 19 after a two-year battle with brain cancer.
He was born April 9, 1999, in Wolfsburg, Germany, to Claudio and Danielle Reyna and was the older brother of Giovanni, Joah-Mikel and Carolina. Jack attended Greenwich Country Day School in Greenwich, Conn., and would wake up eager to go to school every morning, his family said. His father is a member of the National Soccer Hall of Fame.
Spending time with his parents, siblings, extended family and friends was very important to him. His family said that he was relentless in his pursuit to learn new facts, see new places, taste all foods and live each day to its fullest.
Reyna enjoyed playing soccer and was proud to wear his New York Sports Club jersey with his fellow soccer players.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Oelker-Cox and Sinatra Funeral Home in Mount Kisco. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick's Church in Bedford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Making Headway Foundation, 115 King St., Chappaqua, NY 10514.
