KATONAH, N.Y. George Leffort of Katonah died Oct. 22 at his home. He was 78.
He was born July 8, 1934, in New Hartford, N.Y., to Milton and Gertrude Leffort. He lost his father at 2 years old and grew up in Mount Kisco as the "man of the house," his family said. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War and worked as a mechanic and home improvement contractor.
Leffort is survived by his wife of 53 years, Eleanor; four daughters, Kimberly, Lisa, Debbie and Lori; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Cassidy-Flynn Funeral Home in Mount Kisco. Religious services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, followed by burial at Oakwood Cemetery.
