Yorktown Sports Complex Swings Into Spring

YORKTOWN, N.Y. – The Yorktown Sports Complex at Navajo Fields is open for business just off Route 6 in Yorktown Heights in time for the spring sports seasons.

The sports training and game complex, which features facilities for football, lacrosse, soccer and other sports, has two of its indoor “buildings” up and running. Navajo Fields is home to two full-size baseball fields, two lacrosse fields, two soccer fields and two football fields.

The facility will host several sports camps and clinics during the spring and summer months as well as baseball, lacrosse and soccer games.

Summer campers will choose five of the following activities - archery, baseball, basketball, beach volleyball, field hockey (girls only), fitness trails, flag football, golf (must be at least 8 years old), lacrosse, obstacle course, paintball, soccer, trail rides or zip lines.

There will be four separate camps sessions from June 26 through Aug. 10 that will include children from kindergarten and up. Certified teachers and nurses will be on the premises and transportation and lunch will be available.

Buddy Paine College Baseball will be holding a showcase for high school athletes to demonstrate their skills in front of 20 college coaches. The showcase will be held Aug. 22 and 23. Athletes receive a showcase hat, T-shirt and DVD of their training session.

The Yorktown Sports complex is located at 3000 Navajo Road in Yorktown Heights.
