Tai Chi in the Sculpture Garden: 10:30 a.m. The session will offer an introduction to this ancient Chinese martial art practiced both for its defense training and its health benefits. Katonah Museum of Art, 134 Jay St., Katonah.

Author visit with Jessie Hartland: 3 p.m. Jessie Hartland, author of “Bon Appetit! The Delicious Life of Julia Child,” visits the shop for Julia Child's 100 birthday.
