What To Do In Bedford and Mount Kisco This Weekend

BEDFORD and MOUNT KISCO, N.Y.—With the holidays come and gone, and the children back in school, the weekend offers a the chance to breath and relax from the week at work.  If you are still wondering what to do in Bedford and Mount Kisco this weekend, take a look below at the options presented by The Daily Bedford and The Daily Mt. -If you are an artist and wish to have your works seen and judged by a renowned artist, then send your material in to the Katonah Museum of Art by Saturday. “Art to the Point” will be the latest exhibit at the museum starting on the 15th of January, and they are accepting submissions from the Tri-State Area until Saturday at 3:00 PM. Go to the museum’s website, www.katonahmuseum.org, or call 914-232-9555. Submissions can be “ up to two pieces (paintings, drawings, prints, mixed-media works, sculptures, photographs, or videos up to 4 minutes in length), which were executed within the last five years

-Saturday mornings can sometimes be lazy and spent in bed but with the weather looking nice and brisk, why not head out with the family to the Bedford Audubon  Society in Katonah at 35 Todd Road at 8:00 AM. Join their Bird Walk at the Croton Point Park, and soak in great information from the naturalist Tait Johansson. The event is free.

-Looking to keep in shape? Spend your lazy Sunday off the couch and into the boxing ring at the Lexington Avenue Gym in Mount Kisco for their Boxing for Fitness classes. The classes occur all weekend, and the classes are for everyone. Call 914-241-2657 for information on pricing.

-Monday night can be a family night out, and an option for the family is to head to the Bedford Post Inn for a cozy evening at their Dinner at the Barn among family and friends. Make reservations this weekend at 914-234-7800.

-If you have or know of a student at John Jay High School who is in the choras, support them in the Winter Choral Concert at 7:00 PM in the auditorium on Monday night. The concert will be the first of four this month.
