The group is concerned about safety for blind people in the park, the newspaper reported.

Howland Robinson, a Bedford Hills resident, recalled an experience he had when he was in his yard and working along a roadside. While a vehicle passed, Robinson remembers its lack of noise. Robinson, who grew up in New York City, supports keeping the horses.
Kenneth Weissenberg, who lives in Bedford Corners, suggested the installation of whistles to deal with the lack of noise. He also does not believe that the horses are being treated well.
Will Sargisson, a Mount Kisco resident, does not feel there is an issue with the vehicles not making noise. Sargisson also supports keeping carriages.
