BEDFORD HILLS, N.Y. -- A northbound Metro-North Train hit a disabled vehicle at the Green Lane crossing in Bedford Hills Wednesday afternoon.

No injuries were reported to any of the crew or passengers in the 3:30 p.m. incident. 

The occupants in the car reportedly left the vehicle before the collision.

The affected train was removed at around 5:45 p.m., with service resuming thereafter.

Harlem Line service, which had initially been shut down, ran with residual delays Wednesday evening after delays of up to 70 minutes during the hours after the crash during the evening commute.

The Green Lane exit from the Saw Mill River Parkway was closed as a result of the incident.
