BEDFORD, N.Y. – The New York State Police are investigating a fatal rollover accident that occurred Wednesday, April 11, on Interstate 684 in Bedford.
State police from the Somers barracks, who were called at 3:23 a.m., said a 2003 Nissan Pathfinder was traveling northbound on I-684 and drove off the road, striking the center median rail. The car rolled over several times and came to rest on its roof in the left lane, police said.
The driver, John H. Yalanis, 62, of Bristol, Conn., was pronounced dead at the scene.
