BEDFORD, N.Y. As thunderstorms rip through northern Westchester County Wednesday, hundreds of power outages have been reported in Bedford, according to Consolidate Edison and New York State Electric and Gas.
The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the entire county until 9 p.m. as well as a flood advisory until 4 p.m.
As of 3:45 p.m., Con Edison is reporting 124 outages in Bedford, and NYSEG has identified 258 outages in Katonah.
According to the NYSEG website, those with outages are encouraged to notify the company and, if available, an estimated restoration time will be provided. Con Edison's website gives an estimated restoration time of 9 p.m. for all Bedford customers.
Con Ed customers can call 800-75-CONED (800-752-6633). NYSEG customers can call 800-572-1131 to report any electricity emergency.
