Update: As of 8:45 Thursday evening, NYSEG had restored power to all Bedford customers affected by the outage.
BEDFORD, N.Y. – Hundreds of power outages have been reported in Bedford on Thursday, according to New York State Electric & Gas (NYSEG).
As the high heat continues, utility companies such as Con Edison and NYSEG have urged customers to conserve power to avoid blackouts or brownouts.
According to the NYSEG website, those with outages are encouraged to notify the company and, if available, an estimated restoration time will be provided.
NYSEG customers can call 1-800-572-1131 to report any electricity emergency. Con Ed customers can call 1-800-75-CONED.
