NWH’s Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Program achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for 12 consecutive months during the 2014 calendar year, including patient satisfaction higher than 92 percent, a minimum wound healing rate of at least 91 percent within 30 median days to heal, and other quality outcomes. There were 506 programs eligible for the Center of Distinction award, and only 172 achieved the honor.
“This is a great achievement for our entire Wound Care team,” said Dr. Bruce Molinelli, medical director of the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Program at Northern Westchester Hospital. “Based on patient satisfaction as well as clinical outcomes, this award is a testament to our ability to consistently provide high-quality, evidence-based care that is truly patient-centered."
