BEDFORD, N.Y. -- The Bedford Hills/Katonah Little League has received a $78,250 grant from the Baseball Tomorrow Fund, a subsidiary of Major League Baseball, to repair the lighting destroyed by Hurricane Sandy, according to Patch.com.
Hurricane Sandy knocked down one lighting standard that also destroyed a set of bleachers. The four remaining poles were removed as they were deemed unsafe, Patch.com reported.
BHKLL also received $50,000 from NYSEG and raised $85,000 on its own to make the lighting restoration project a reality, Patch.com said.
