The exhibit will be unveiled at the Bedford Historical Hall on 608 Old Post Road on Friday, Nov. 29, from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. The show runs through Sunday, Dec. 1.

Terreson is well-known for his interpretive paintings of horses and abstracts, which use light and color as a gesture of fiction and realism inspired from local surroundings.

He will be introducing his new series representing his continued growth and responsibility to move forward as a painter, embarking towards a persistence of being fearless to the new.

“When painting, I never seem to be fully satisfied until the painting finds itself -- the process is about letting go, having the faith and confidence to allow the painting to unfold and become the art, as a conduit, I become the messenger," Terreson said.

Discovering and creating texture, mixing color and process is the practice that deepens his conviction to paint, he added.

Departure will feature more then 35 paintings, including Terreson’s “Equus” series, a highly popular series has been acquired utilized by collectors such as Ralph Lauren and Joseph Abboud.

Terreson turned to the Bedford, where he has lived for more than fifty years, and exhibited his work in his first solo show, “One,” in 2009. “Made in Bedford 2011,” his second biennial solo show, drew even greater attention and recognition from the local and New York art communities.

Terreson’s paintings can be found in more than 150 private collections. Other than his affiliation with Newbury Fine Arts in Boston, he is a self-representing artist.
