A freeze warning is in effect for Northern Westchester and Putnam County and parts of central Westchester from midnight to 8 a.m. Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

Overnight low temperatures are expected to be in the low to mid 30s in northern Westchester and parts of central Westchester and between 35 and 37 degrees in southern Westchester with winds gusting as high as 23 miles per hour.

Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered and tender vegetation may be damaged by the cold temperatures, the weather service advises.

High temperatures Sunday and Monday will be in the low to mid 50s under partly sunny skies.
