WESTCHESTER, N.Y. - Three days after Hurricane Sandy knocked power out to most of Westchester County, residents still in the dark are getting frustrated - and they're speaking out on Facebook.

Readers reacted to Con Edison’s handling of downed power lines and distribution of dry ice via comments on their towns' Daily Voice Facebook pages.

“That would be great, if I could GET there to get the dry ice! My road is blocked by a downed tree and power lines and the fire department has said it's not their problem - it's Con Ed's,” said Kristen Waterman Basil of Armonk.

“No sight of Con Edison in our neighborhood. Yesterday we had approx. 15 workers on five DPW trucks on woodland place removing a branch,” said Makesha Williams of White Plains.

“Going on 4 days w/o power, I have not seen one Con Edison vehicle in the neighborhood, The area residents, many are seniors and homes with minor children,” said L Francis Harrison, also of White Plains.

In Somers, Gina Viviano Haran said, "NYSEG told me maybe Sunday but possible Wednesday??!!! It is totally unacceptable. They tell you to go stay somewhere else with power!"

And in Yonkers, Alan Fleisig asked, "Where is con ed. Verizon on the street yonkers municipal agencies too. But no con ed. Cold and dark here. 1 hour repair required but not pn con ed's assessment."
