Equality Lecture Series Planned At Bedford's John Jay Homestead

BEDFORD, N.Y. -- Bedford's John Jay Homestead will begin a monthly series of lectures titled, "Long Path to Equality," starting with Pulitzer Prize-winner Gilbert King on Tuesday, Jan. 7.

He will be speaking about his new book, "Devil in the Grove: Thurgood Marshall, the Groveland Boys, and the Dawn of a New America"

A book signing will follow the lecture, held in the ballroom at John Jay Homestead at 7 p.m., with registration beginning at 6:15 p.m.

Tickets are $20 for members and $25 for non-members. Reservations are recommended.
