KATONAH,NY--Bedford Police are investigating an early morning crash involving four cars and a school bus. The incident happened around 8 a.m. at the intersection of Routes 22 and 35.
Details are sketchy, but police would only say the Katonah-Lewisboro bus was en route to John Jay High School when the "bus was involved in a crash with four cars." and that one of the vehicles overturned onto the bus. The exact sequence of the collision is unclear and police say they are still investigating.
More than a dozen students on the bus were transported to Northern Westchester Hospital as a precaution. Officials say the injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
Route 35 at the 22 intersection was closed for nearly an hour while police investigated.
