Several of the pint-sized attendees lined up in front of the tree, which is on the Village Green, and held signs with numbers. Each kid held up a sign, in the reverse from 10 to one, until the tree was lit.

The gathering also featured several Christmas carols, including "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer" and "Jingle Bells." In both cases, kids started off the renditions.

Visitors then went across the street to the Bedford firehouse, where refreshments were served.

The Bedford Village tree lighting was one of three scheduled in the town of Bedford's hamlets. Tree lightings were also slated for Bedford Hills and Katonah.

Video of the Bedford Hills tree lighting, held this past Saturday, can be found here on the Lions Club's Facebook page, as well as photos.
