Bedford Town Offices Reopen Following Gas Leak

BEDFORD HILLS, N.Y. -- Bedford's Police Department and town offices reopened following a gas leak on Monday morning that led to evacuations, according to police alerts posted on Nixle.

The evacuation of the Town House and police station, both of which are in Bedford Hills, happened because of a rupture of a gas line, the alert noted.

The initial alert was sent out at 10:17 a.m. Monday, and a follow-up alert announcing the reopening came less than an hour later.
