Planning Board Chairwoman Deirdre Courtney-Batson was reappointed to another five-year term, and Zoning Board of Appeals Chairman Peter Michaelis was also given another five-year stint.

The Town Board voted to reappoint Rosemary Lee, Stanley Starr, Dan Farkas and Simon Skolnik to the Conservation Board. Each will be serving a two-year term.

Clayton Rose and George Henschel were both given new three-year terms on the Bedford Village Historic District Review Commission, while Nina Kellogg was reappointed to the Katonah District Review Commission for five years.

The Town Board reappointed Tina Foster to the Open Space Committee, giving her a four-year term. Additionally, the board reappointed Carol Parker to the Wetlands Control Commission for three years.

A notable resignation accepted by the Town Board was from Don Scott from his position on the Wetlands Control Commission. Scott resigned because he became the Town Board's newest member.

Meanwhile, the town has several vacancies on its volunteer boards and announced that it is seeking new members.

The vacancies include one opening on the Wetlands Control Commission; one opening on the Conservation Board; an opening on the Open Space Acquisition Committee; two openings on the Tree Advisory Board; and two openings on the Communications Committee. Additionally, there is an opening for a Bedford Hills resident on the Parks Advisory Committee, which has a fixed number of seats for each hamlet in town.

The town asks applicants to submit resumes and letters to Supervisor Chris Burdick, which can be done by email at supervisor@bedfordny.gov or by regular mail at Town of Bedford, 321 Bedford Road, Bedford Hills, NY 10507.

The town's announcement adds that people interested in other boards or committees should get in touch with the supervisor; resumes and letters will be retained if there is a future opening.
