KATONAH, N.Y. – The Bedford Department of Public Works will be repaving Lot 3, the parking area at 50 Woods Bridge Road in Katonah, for five days this week, the Bedford police said Monday.

From Monday through Friday, paving and striping in the lot will reduce the available metered and permit parking spaces by at least half, police said.

All metered parking is first-come, first-served for Lot 3, which is used as daily parking for residents, businesses and nonresidents.

Police said permit parking at Lot 2, 190 Katonah Ave., may be used as overflow parking this week, but only by Lot 3 annual permit holders.

Residents should be aware that 20 additional metered parking spaces in Lot 2 and Lot 1 on Jay Street become available each day after 10 a.m., Bedford police said.

Police are discouraging overnight parking during this five-day period. Cars left in the lot for the night may be towed.
