BEDFORD, N.Y. - All Bedford town offices are closed Thursday because of the major snow storm moving into the area.

Northern Westchester is expected to get 11 to 15 inches of snow during a 24-hour span that will hit in three parts .

Town Supervisor Chris Burdick asks residents to stay off the roads, which will be snow covered throughout the day. This will allow the town's plow trucks to keep the roads clear.

Bedford town court is cancelled for Thursday night.

The forecast Thursday includes heavy snow in the morning, followed by freezing rain and sleet, and then more heavy snow through early Friday morning.
