Three Stabbed At McDonald's: Newark PD Three people were stabbed at a McDonald's in Newark on the evening of Wednesday, May 1, authorities said. At 6:40 p.m., police responded to the McDonald's at 569 McCarter Highway and located two women and one man who had been stabbed by a male suspect following an altercation, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Frage said.  The victims were transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition, Frage said. The stabbing remains under investigation, Frage said.

At 9:15 p.m., the box truck was traveling westbound on Route 80 in Mount Olive Township when it lost directional control, causing both vehicles to overturn, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.  No injuries were reported, Lebron said.
