More than 50 famous actors, musicians, writers, TV personalities and politicians cite the county as their hometown, or have bought property here later in life. The latter have cited Westchester's prime luxury real estate, close proximity to the city and suburban charm as major draws to the area.

Though these celebs have found homes all over Westchester County, Yonkers and Bedford both sport the highest concentration of famous neighbors both living and deceased.

Kate and Rooney Mara, Richard Gere, Bea Arthur, Chevy Chase, Michael Douglas, Felicity Huffman, Ralph Lauren, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Martha Stewart, Rob Thomas, Catherine Zeta-Jones and the late Mary Kennedy all call or have called Bedford home.

Yonkers' star-dazzled roster includes Mary J. Blige, Jadakiss, Styles P, DMX, Outasight, Jon Voight, Steven Tyler and the late Sid Caesar, Linda Lovelace and Ella Fitzgerald.

Just west of Yonkers, the Rivertowns have seen the likes of Jane Alexander, Meredith Viera and Debra Winger.

In Northern Westchester, Chappaqua's best-known residents are former U.S. president Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State and First Lady Hillary Clinton. However, Vanessa Williams is also from the area.

The famous Rockefeller family's estate is in Mount Pleasant's Pocantico Hills.

The Kennedys have also called Westchester home. Joseph Kennedy Sr. owned a home in Bronxville. Robert and Ethel Kennedy lived in Larchmont and Rye.

Now divorced, Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins once called Pound Ridge home.

CBS "Late Show" host David Letterman resides in North Salem, where former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg also has a home.

Stanley Tucci of "Devil Wears Prada," and "Julie and Julia," fame was born in Peekskill and recently sold a home he owned in South Salem. Actor Mel Gibson, who moved to Australia at age 12, was born in Peekskill.

Then there's Bruce Jenner, perhaps now best known as step-father of Kim Kardashian. Jenner, who won the gold medal in the decathlon at the 1976 Olympics, was born in Mount Kisco and played football at Sleepy Hollow High School.

Broadway star and vocal powerhouse Audra McDonald lives with her husband in Croton-on-Hudson.

Comedian and interviewer to the stars Joan Rivers formerly lived in Bronxville.

I'm sure we missed some of Westchester's famous neighbors. What celebrities have you seen around town?
