This fall, Bedford singer Collin McLoughlin, 24, competed handily against other talented musicians on the third seasons of NBC's “The Voice." His run on the show, which lasted more than a month, also included an appearance on “The Today Show."

On Sept. 18, McLoughlin charmed the judges in blind auditions with his rendition of Cat Stevens' "Wild World" making it onto Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine’s team. He later lost against fellow Team Adam member Bryan Keith in the first of the show’s battle rounds, but was picked up by another judge, country star Blake Shelton. McLoughlin was finally eliminated on Oct. 30.

A Rippowam Cisqua and Colgate University graduate, McLoughlin posts videos of himself performing original music and acoustic and electronic covers and mash-ups of pop songs, which have garnered hundreds of thousands of hits from the YouTube audience.

After a year at New York University’s Steinhardt School of Music Management, McLoughlin moved home to Bedford to work full-time on his music, leading to a shot at Billboard’s Battle of the Bands online contest, and later a spot on "The Voice."

In November, McLoughlin created a mash up cover of four songs, one by each coach on the show, to pay tribute to his experience on "The Voice." The songs used are Blake Shelton's "Over," Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful," Gnarls Barkley / Ceelo Green's "Going On," and Maroon 5/ Adam Levine's "Harder To Breathe."

Fans of McLoughlin can go to iTunes and purchase his audition song "Wild World” or other songs from the show, or check out the latest on the young musician on his Twitter and Facebook pages.
