BEDFORD, N.Y. ‒ The summer romance between country singer Taylor Swift and Conor Kennedy of Bedford has ended, according to a report from the New York Post.
"They quietly parted ways a while ago," a friend of Swift told Us Weekly, adding that it has been over a month since the two have seen each other. "It was just a distance thing. No hard feelings. They're fine."
Swift, 22, has been busy promoting her new album, “Red,” which contains the hit single "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," so has had little time for her relationship with the son of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., according to the friend.
The Post also reports it was told by a source that the two are apart because 18-year-old Conor is currently back at school.
Swift was first was spotted with Conor in July vacationing at the Kennedy family compound in Hyannis Port, Mass. The singer spent much of the summer with the family and went so far as to buy a seven-bedroom, five-bathroom home in the neighborhood.
Swift was also around to support Conor Kennedy during his grief after his mother, Mary Richardson Kennedy, took her own life at her Bedford estate in May, leaving behind estranged husband RFK Jr. and three other children.
In August, Swift accompanied Kennedy to visit his mother's grave close to the compound.
