Created by Ball, The Women Of Distinction Hall of Fame was designed to honor outstanding women from throughout his district. Towns, villages and cities select their nominees, who will be honored at a ceremony on Sept. 8, 2013 at the Putnam County Emergency Services Building.

Ball is still seeking nominees from the Town of New Castle and the Villages of Pleasantville and Briarcliff Manor.

Ball is asking community members who know a ‘woman of distinction’ in those communities to contact his office with their nomination. Residents can submit their nomination to office by Aug. 9, by calling: 845-279-3773 or emailing kgobins@nysenate.gov.

“The Women of Distinction Hall of Fame was created to honor women that have chosen a path of leadership, living a life of service before self,” Ball said in a statement. “I am very excited about the amount of towns, villages, cities and community organizations that will be participating in this annual event. We are still awaiting three final nominations, and I am urging residents that know someone worthy of this honor to contact my office by Aug. 9.”
