Katonah's Edith Breitenbruch Dies at 91

KATONAH, N.Y. -- Edith Breitenbruch, a resident of Katonah for 56 years, died March 22 at Northern Westchester Hospital in Mt. Kisco after a brief illness. She was 91.

Breitenbruch was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Katonah and the Women's Civic Club of Katonah.

She was born Jan. 3, 1921 in Richmond Hill, Queens, N.Y. to George and Frances (Voltz) Breitenbruch. A ladies apparel buyer, Breitenbruch worked for Marshall Fields Department Stores in New York City. Her sister, Harriet Breitenbruch, predeceased her.

Friends will receive visitors at Clark Associates Funeral Home in Katonah on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will take place at Ferncliff Mausoleum in Hartsdale.
