Dear Mr. Gordon,

On behalf of the Town Board, I write to thank you and your staff, in particular, David Parker, Joseph Hurley and Rich Dillman, for being responsive to the town's request to reduce the speed limit on portions of Route 22 and Route 172 in Bedford. We also wish to thank you and your staff for moving ahead on the installation of a "four color" traffic light to replace the flashing light at the intersection of Routes 22 and 172 by the Shell station.

We are confident that these positive steps will improve safety for motorists, pedistrians and cyclists while also allowing for good traffic flow. We recognize that you and your team have an extensive geographic area for which you are responsible with limited staff and budget, so we are especially grateful for your efforts. We look forward to our continued partnership.

Very truly yours,

Chris Burdick
