For the past eight years, The Preppy Turtle has been a thriving community business and a resource to its consigners and customers of all ages.

Hardy will be replacing former owner Kathleen Luparello, who is passionate about working within the community.

The store will continue to focus on selling merchandise that is most sought after by its customers: high quality clothing, shoes, accessories and more for children, teens and women.

“The Preppy Turtle prides itself on being a community partner," said Hardy.

"Not only does it offer a new home for often new or gently used goods, creating a 'greener' environment, but it also gives the consigner a chance to earn some cash on their no longer needed items."

"The Preppy Turtle will remain a huge supporter of local programs including the Community Center of Northern Westchester."

Since its inception in 2006, The Preppy Turtle has evolved from a children’s only consignment shop to one that also features better brands of women’s clothing, shoes, handbags, jewelry, toys and more.

The Preppy Turtle is located at 2 Depot Plaza (near the old train station) in Bedford Hills and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with extended hours on Wednesday evenings until 6:30 p.m.
