Wabc-tv Visits NWH To Spotlight Breast Cancer Awareness Month

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- To kick off breast cancer awareness month, Northern Westchester Hospital was recently highlighted by WABC-TV as a hospital with staff members who personally relate to the disease and are taking a stand to make strides in recovery.

WABC-TV explores the bond between Northern Westchester Hospital's Dr. Elizabeth Chabner-Thompson, a radiation oncologist, and Caitlin Lopez, her assistant, who both underwent prophylactic bi-lateral mastectomies.

Chabner-Thompson is also highlighted in the broadcast for creating Best Friends For Life, "BFFL," and special inventions such as a radiation bra and post-mastectomy items to help recovering breast surgery patients.
