KATONAH, N.Y -- The Katonah Museum of Art will honor the founders of Bedford 2020, Ellen Conrad, Olivia Farr, and Mary Beth Kass, at a key fundraiser, their Spring Gala, Forces of Nature Saturday, May 7.

Funded in 2009, Bedford 2020 is a grass roots effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 20 percent by 2020 in Bedford, N.Y.

The gala will recognize Bedford 2020 for its environmental leadership. 

The celebration includes a live fashion runway, festive cocktails, and fine cuisine.

Since its founding four years ago, Bedford 2020 has achieved nearly 80 percent progress to date, according to a release.

“Ellen, Olivia, and Mary Beth are models of proactive engagement with our community. It was leadership like theirs that gave birth to the Katonah Museum of Art, and the exciting generation of ideas and initiatives by Bedford 2020 is a vision shared by the Museum," said Darsie Alexander, the executrive director of the Katonah Museum of Art.

The gala's runway show will feature styles for men, women, and children by independent designers and boutiques across Westchester and Fairfield Counties. 

Guests will bid on fashions by phones and iPads provided for live bidding.
