Kennedy, an environmentalist, activist and author, turns 62 today.
Kennedy was born in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 17, 1954, the third of 11 children of Robert F. Kennedy and Ethel Skakel Kennedy.
He is the nephew of President John F. Kennedy.
The president of the Waterkeeper Alliance’s board, he currently co-hosts “Ring of Fire,” a nationally syndicated radio program.
He has written several political books and two children’s books.
Married to actress Cheryl Hines, his third wife, Kennedy is a master falconer and an avid white-water rafter who is passionate about water resources in general and the Hudson River in particular.
