Katonah's Oliver's One Of Many Venues Getting Into Irish Spirit

NORTHERN WESTCHESTER, N.Y. --  Sláinte! And happy St. Patrick's Day. Everyone's a wee bit Irish today, with bars and restaurants going corned beef and cabbage-wild with specials, live music and pints full of Guinness.

Live here long enough and you surely know about the festive atmospheres at O'Connors Pub in Mount Kisco, Murphy's in Yorktown Heights or The Quiet Man Public House in Peekskill, but what about the off-the-radar Celtic celebrations and offerings? We've rounded up a few, though please add more of your own in our Comments area below.

Bangers and Mash: Get into the Irish spirit with this class "pub grub" dish. The Beehive in Armonk offers it year-round; Thyme features it as a special along with the "Shamtini," a St. Patrick's Day-inspired cocktail. Go Green: Beehive, 30 Old Rte 22, Armonk, 914-765-0688; Thyme, 3605 Crompond Rd, Yorktown Heights, 914-788-8700.

Irish Step Dancing: Putnam's Kelly-Oster School of Irish Dance is offering a variety of performances across Northern Westcheter including Michael's Tavern in Pleasantville, Murphy's in Yorktown, and Oliver's in Katonah. Go Green: www.kellyoster.com/.
