The venue has been a holistic center since 1951 and is recognized as an officialwildlife habitat certified by the National Wildlife Federation. The setting and waterside views will serve as the backdrop for this event, which will welcome the trusts' friends and supporters from all over the county.

Proceeds from the cocktail party will benefit WLT’s land preservation and preserve management efforts in southern Westchester, including the new 35-acre Otter Creek Preserve in Mamaroneck.

The preserve boasts spectacular views of the Long Island Sound, a three-quarter mile trail that snakes in and out of different terrains, and great spots to watch birds, including ospreys nesting on two active platforms.

The event will feature Grammy nominee, author, poet and documentary filmmaker Daniel Wolff as special guest speaker. Wolff grew up next to the Otter Creek Preserve and will share his observations of this landscape.

In addition, guests will be served hors d’oeuvres by Watson’s Catering, and Wine at Five will be on hand for the wine tasting.

Committee members planning the event include Nanette Bourne and Dr. John Delfs; Cindy and Ben Golub; Dr. David and Marjorie Kaufman; Ellen Lukens and Paul Sisson; Allyson Redpath Mawe; and Michael Yellin.

Tickets start at $75 and can be purchased at westchesterlandtrust.org or by calling 914-234-6992, ext. 23.
