What's Happening in Bedford This Weekend

BEDFORD, N.Y. – There are a number of events going on in Bedford this April Fools Day weekend.

Friday

-Second to last day of Hudson Valley Restaurant Week

There are two more days of Hudson Valley Restaurant week. Go online to the Hudson Valley Restaurant Week website for a list of participating locations. Restaurants in Westchester County and six other counties are offering three-course prix fixe dinners at $29.95 and three-course lunches at $20.95. 

-Toddler Time, 10:30 a.m.

The Katonah Village Library will host a story time for children ages 2-and-a-half through 3-and-a-half with a caregiver. Registration is required. 

Saturday, March 31

-Last day of Hudson Valley Restaurant Week

-Visit from Lisa Schwartz and Her Newly Hatched Chicks, 11 a.m.-12 p.m.

Lisa Schwartz, proprietor of Rainbeau Ridge, a farm in Bedford, will bring some of her newly hatched chicks to Little Joe's Books at 25 Katonah Ave. in Katonah. She will also give a reading about farms and farm animals. 

-Family Story time, 2 p.m.

Drop in to the Katonah Village Library for a story time for children of all ages and their parents, grandparents and caregivers. 

Sunday, April 1

-April Fools’ Day

Time to play some pranks, but don't be too mean! 

-Palm Sunday Services, 9:15 and 11 a.m.

This event at the Bedford Community Church at 160 Bedford Center Road in Bedford Hills will include children waving palm crosses, music and a service by Nyack College chaplain Rev. Kevin Walker. 

-Reading with Whoopsie Daisy the Reading Dog, 4 p.m.-5 p.m.

Kids are invited to take part in a read-aloud story time at Little Joe’s Books where they will get the chance to play with a loving, trained black lab. Reservations are required.
