"Visions of Summer" Photo Contest Deadline: 11:59 p.m. Tonight is the deadline for the Katonah Village Library's Teen Photo Contest "Visions of Summer." Young adults ages 10 to 18 may submit their photo by email to firstname.lastname@example.org by 11:59 pm. Entries must include name, age, photo title, address and telephone number. Field Trip to Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge: 8:45 a.m. Join Bedford Audubon naturalist Tait Johansson for this field trip to Queens that coincides with high tide in the bay, when shorebirds are most numerous. Hawkwatch at Arthur Butler Sanctuary: 9 a.m. Aug. 15 marked the start of the Bedford Audubon Society’s annual autumn Chestnut Ridge Hawkwatch, now in its third decade. Why not check out the Hawkwatch platform, located at the Arthur Butler Sanctuary in Bedford Corners? The lookout platform is open to the public and will be monitored daily for hawks from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Dec. 1. Arthur Butler Sanctuary, 265 Chestnut Ridge Road, Bedford Corners.
