Field Trip to Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge: 7 a.m. Join Bedford Audubon naturalist Tait Johansson for this field trip to Queens that coincides with high tide in the bay, when shorebirds are most numerous. The Natural Wonders of John Jay Homestead: 10 a.m. The homestead's "Take a Hike" program will explore wildlife in nearby woods, streams and meadows, which are home to scores of breeding birds and insects.
