Monday, July 23

Planning Board meeting: 8 p.m. Bedford Town House, 321 Bedford Road, Bedford Hills. 

Tuesday, July 24

Excursion to New Jersey Meadowlands: 9:45 a.m. Explore this 900-acre urban wildlife preserve with naturalist Michael Newhouse and Bedford Audubon Executive Director Janelle Robbins. Trip includes a pontoon boat tour of the Hackensack River and salt marsh. Fee for the boat tour is $15. Bedford Audubon Society, 35 Todd Road, Katonah.

Create a Beaded Bracelet and Make a Basket: 1 p.m.-3 p.m. The Westchester Area Basketmakers Guild will lead a workshop that teaches children and teens ages 10 to 18 how to make their own beaded bracelets. From 3 p.m.-5:30 p.m. An experienced weaver from the guild will teach participants how to create a reed basket. Registration is required and there is a $5 materials fee for each craft. Katonah Village Library, 26 Bedford Road, Katonah.

Wednesday, July 25

Historic Building Preservation Commission: 7 p.m. 425 Cherry St., Bedford Hills.

Thursday, July 26

"Aura is Art!" 6:30 p.m. Local artists will present their work prepared from paint samples by Benjamin Moore. These works of art may be purchased, and all proceeds will be donated to local military families charity "United in Their Honor." Complimentary wine, cheese and treats will be served. Katonah Paint & Hardware, 180 Katonah Ave., Katonah.

Exploring Pastels with Susan Ordahl: 2 p.m. In this workshop participants will explore the different types and techniques of pastels. Registration is required and there is a $5 materials fee. Katonah Village Library, 26 Bedford Road, Katonah.

Tree Advisory Board meeting: 7 p.m. Bedford Hills Community House, 74 Main St., Bedford Hills.

Town Board Work Session: 7 p.m. Discussion will be on historic building preservation and best value. 425 Cherry St., Bedford Hills.
