BEDFORD, N.Y. — A harvest celebration, a chicken dinner benefiting the local ambulance corps and two different Halloween fairs are some of the events happening around Bedford this weekend.

Friday, Oct. 26

Westchester Land Trust Open House and Harvest Celebration: 4:30 p.m. Celebrate the fall season with the Westchester Land Trust, which has helped preserve more than 7,500 acres in 28 Westchester communities. Enjoy a glass of wine while listening to the Brooklyn-based blues-country band “The Woes.” Decorate a spooky pumpkin or grab a pizzette from Mount Kisco’s Via Vanti! Saturday, Oct. 27

Transcendence at SunRaven Open House: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Experience this bucolic farm at a free open house with presentations and speakers. Katonah Elementary School's 33rd Annual Halloween Fair : 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. All ghosts and goblins are welcome at Katonah Elementary School's annual Halloween Festival. Attractions include: the Haunted Dungeon, Dr. Boo Boo’s Haunted Hospital, games and prizes, Halloween-themed crafts, creepy cuisine at the Black Hat Diner, a bouncy castle and inflatable obstacle course, professional face painters and new this year, a 50/50 raffle. Katonah-Bedford Hills Volunteer Ambulance Corps Chicken Dinner: 5 to 7 p.m. Eat great food while supporting emergency medical services in the community at the all-volunteer corps' annual chicken dinner. For $12, get a complete dinner including a half-chicken, cole slaw, sweet and sour baked beans and a dinner roll. Local chef and ambulance corps member Hank Tschorn will be barbecuing the chicken all day over an open pit outside corps headquarters. Sunday, Oct. 28

Lions Club "Spooky" Pancake Breakfast: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Come in costume to the Bedford Hills Lions Club's Halloween “Spooky” Pancake Breakfast. The meal features all-you-can-eat buttermilk or buckwheat pancakes with butter, syrup and a choice of toppings: blueberry, chocolate chip, apple or cherry. The meal also comes with sausages and a beverage. Proceeds go to support the Bedford Hills Free Library’s youth programming. For more information, visit the Lions website . Free Zumba Class : 2 p.m. Join a free Zumba party. This class fuses Latin and international rhythms with simple dance moves for a fun dance workout. Katonah Art Center, 131 Bedford Road, Katonah.
