Mamaroneck Chamber Hosts Breakfast for Businesses

MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- Local officials joined Mamaroneck's local businesses for their monthly Chamber of Commerce breakfast at the Mamaroneck Diner Thursday morning.

New York State Assemblyman George Latimer (D - Rye), Village of Mamaroneck Mayor Norman Rosenblum and Village Manager Richard Slingerland addressed the crowd of over 20 business owners, who filled the back-right room of the Boston Post Road diner beginning at 8 a.m.

Steven Josephson, owner of the Toy Box and chamber president, led the meeting, which looked forward to the lineup of events planned for the fall.

Such events include:

- Sept. 16 - 18: 350th Anniversary of the Town of Mamaroneck

- Sept. 26: Golf Outing

- Oct. 13 - 15: October Sidewalk Sales (Originally scheduled for Columbus Day weekend)??

- Oct. 23: Spooktacular will run from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Chamber asks that stores decorate their window fronts and allow children to trick or treat.

Friday, chamber members and local officials will hold an event at the Mamaroneck Elks Club behind the diner.
