Nationally and internationally recognized musicians, led by professional guitarist and composer Jim Skinger, will play a mixture of classical music and jazz. Guest artists to perform will include Ericka Schlenkermann on flute, Delia Montenegro on oboe, Claude Preece on bass, Joe Stamboli on trumpet, Doug Malfer on keyboard and Rob Lamborn on trombone. Renowned local singer/songwriter Susan Kane will make a special guest appearance.

The concert will feature solos, duets, a jazz quartet and five original compositions by Skinger, who describes his music as “classical in nature with a jazz harmonic structure.”

“I suppose you could say that my music has been inspired by the musicians and friends from my performing and travels," Skinger said. "The artists and friends who have joined forces for this concert will bring a special combination of talent and we will together create a unique experience."

The concert is open to the public. A $10 individual donation is suggested, $25 for families.  All proceeds will benefit the Emergency Shelter Partnership. Immediately following the concert, St. Luke’s will host a reception in its parish house next door to the church.

All musicians are donating their time and talent for the fund-raiser and will be available afterward at the reception.
