The forum will cover the future of the hamlet, the improvements and cultural events planned and the area's affordable housing. Then there will be an informal Q&A session with local leaders where they will take questions from residents.

The list of local leaders expected to attend includes Town Supervisor Chris Burdick, Commissioner of Public Works Kevin Winn, Police Chief Mel Padilla, Superintendent of Parks and Recreation Bill Heidepriem, and Chairman of the Katonah Fire Commissioners Hank Bergson. Beford Town Board Member Don Scott will be moderator.

“We are proud to sponsor this lively event,” says Thomas Hagen, KVIS co-president. “It is like an old-fashioned town hall meeting in that it provides an excellent opportunity for residents to become informed and involved in the issues facing the Katonah community.”

Those planning to attend should take this online survey in advance of the meeting.

KVIS was founded in 1878 as the area's community service organization, focusing on the quality of life through cultural activities, civic engagement, healthy living events, scholarships and village beautification.
