KATONAH, N.Y. -- The Katonah Museum of Art is presenting "The Nest" through June 19 after opening Sunday, March 6.."The Nest" is an exhibition of art in nature. It examines the beauty and symbolism of the nest in art and culture, incorporating contemporary art, relics from the natural world, and items of material culture.
"The Nest" includes a blend of authentic nests, works by 18 contemporary artists, and a selection of feathered pre-Columbian textiles
The exhibition will run March 6 to June 19 at the museum, 134 Jay St., Katonah.
There will be a Members Preview and opening reception Saturday, March 5 from 4 to 6 p.m. for Curator's Circle Membership and above and from 6 to 8 p.m. for KMA members and guest.
The preview will include a director's talk at 5 p.m. and docent tour at 6:30 p.m.
